Who We Are
Our Mission Valuing the community-building contribution of a sustainable rail system for Austin, the Rail4Real Coalition seeks to engage the university community in making rail done right a reality for UT and Austin as a whole.
Our Vision An efficient rail network has the potential to unify the many communities of Austin. The over 70,000 UT students, faculty, and staff are no exception. We see rail as a crucial ingredient for success in building UT’s future as a leading higher education institution that inspires dynamic growth and preserves open space in Austin. We hope to unite stakeholders, planners, and community leaders in forging an Austin rail system that effectively embraces the energy, diversity, and creativity of the UT community. An inclusive and bold rail system, coupled with an excellent bus network, supported by all communities, and mindful of the many different forms on non-fossil fuel transportation is a possible and essential key to the sustainable future that awaits us all
